Wax Me Too and Prevention Magazine!

We got a call at Wax Me Too a few weeks ago from Jessica Chia telling us that she is a beauty writer for Prevention magazine and could she interview us about bikini waxing!  Of course we said YES! How honored we were to have Prevention come to us for tips and tricks.  Everyone knows that Prevention magazine is one of American's leading health and beauty magazine read by millions!

It was a delight talking to Jessica who was calling from New York.  She was charming and personable and asked really great questions about the waxing process.  Towards the end of our conversation, I asked why she chose us and needless to say,  I was very pleased with her reply.

She said that she had asked her assistant to search the web and find a waxing salon that had a good website full of details and had a sense of humor.  Humor, as you all know, are what we at Wax Me Too are good at. ( I know, I know,  never end a sentence in a preposition...but I will this time )

The  waxing process( especially the brazilian) is intimidating that first time you come in. You don't know us. But we know you. We know you are nervous, uncertainly, worried about exposing yourself to a complete stranger etc.  Therefore we try to be loud, funny and inject humor into our conversation with you.  And, if you have done your homework, you've read our the brazilian wax Brazilian Waxing story on our website!

I want to now share the Prevention Article with you all.  Thanks for reading.  Here's a little teaser to the article and then the link to read the whole thing!

9 TIPS ON HOW TO GET A PERFECT BIKINI WAX EVERYTIME   (by Jessica Chia Prevention Magazine)

Getting a bikini wax is a lot like doing laundry: A bit of a pain, yet oh-so-gratifying when you're done. But it is possible to make the entire process practically pleasant. Experienced waxing pros Noemi Grupenmager, founder and CEO of Uni K Wax Centers, and Jolie Arsenault and Joann Gibb, co-founders of the Wax Me Too salons in Utah, reveal the trade secrets you need to know before you drop trou.

Pick the right kind of salon
Just because you can add on a waxing service to your mani-pedi doesn't mean you should. Grupenmager and Arsenault agree that the single best way to protect yourself from a wax-gone-wrong is to go to a salon where waxes are the only thing on the menu. "If that's all they're doing, they're probably pretty good at it," Arsenault says. "If they're doing two facials, a massage, and one bikini wax, how much experience could that person really have?" Other steps to take: call ahead to make sure each treatment room has a sink and individual wax warmer that's emptied and sanitized between clients. Your waxer should wash her hands before she starts working with you and never double-dip the applicator into the wax she's prepared for you.

Brazilian Waxing in Layton Utah With Milly~ Ella Habla Espanol

Wax Me Too Salon has been in Layton for 4 years now, and many of you know that we outgrew our old digs and have moved into a brand new spot at 360 Fort Lane  in Fort Lane Plaza.

Along with our new salon, we now have the ability to take more clients as we have 2 full time treatment rooms operating almost every day.

Brazilian waxing is our specialty.  Wax Me Too is know for our use of the Brazilian Technique, which is a way to wax that is quick, efficient, gets all the hair, and is as comfortable and painless as a brazilan wax can be.  We have tried and true methods!

We also have a great team of ladies who wax in our Layton location.  The newest addition to our team is Milly who has been in the industry for 20 years! Milly is originally from Venezuela and speaks Spanish, which is a great plus for our Layton clients as many of them are Spanish speaking!

Not only is Milly a fantastic waxer, but from the time she was a little girl, she was drawn to work as a holistic healer. She began her journey by training in Kinesiology and Massage in her native country of Venezuela and has since expanded her experience to include clinical work in physical therapy and weight loss.

Natalie (Who has been with WMT for 6 years) and Milly

Milly loves people, and that was quickly apparent to us at Wax Me Too while she went through the training process.  Even the clients who Milly trained upon were drawn to her cute personality, her wit and her great job at waxing.  AND, those who came all the way from Layton to have a training was with Milly in our training center in Draper, have already rebooked their next wax with her in Layton.

Would you like to make an appointment with Milly?  You can do so by calling our main booking number at Wax Me Too 801-572-7771 OR you can book online here.
