How to Bikini Wax

At Wax Me Too Salons we have a lot of clients tell us they have tried (most often with unfortunate results) how to do a bikini wax at home. This attempt leads them to the internet where they find us and come in for a quick fix.

First let me say that I do not recommend anyone who is not an expert waxer, try to wax themselves at home. Waxing, although may look simple enough, is an acquired skill.

When you come in for a bikini wax at a Wax Me Too salon, you will be treated with the utmost care and caution. First, you will be asked to fill out a client consult form. We want to make sure our client isn't using any medications such as accutane ( an anti acne medicine) which can cause a thinning of skin ( making waxing disastrous and dangerous). We also want to know about past waxing experiences and if you had bruising or tearing of the skin during a wax. This alerts us to 2 interesting things. 1. You had a bad wax with someone who didn't know how to wax properly or 2. You have extremely sensitive skin and we will proceed with caution!

After determining that you are a great candidate for waxing, we will usher you into a private very clean treatment room where you will (in privacy) be asked to undress from the waist down and get onto the treatment table--cover up your private area. We are very respectful of our clients and use pristine towels to cover up the bikini area, uncovering only to apply wax and remove the hair.

Your basic bikini is a great option for anyone new to waxing. Many people fear waxing ( I mean, we are "ripping" hair from your follicle). A basic bikini wax will include hair removal from both sides of the leg area...the inside of the thigh to the outside. Imagine putting on your bathing suit bottom....and any hair you can see outside of the elastic and fabric, we will remove. We will also remove hair that is just below the belly button, just to be sure no stray hairs pop out over the top of your swim suit.

Utah is home to many athletes and outdoors folks! We have beautiful spring and summers, an abundance of lakes in which to swim and boat, and places to hike and be one with nature!

Waxing is a popular option when it comes to hair removal. It is also very cost effective. For prices on all waxing, feel free to visit our website.

At Wax Me Too we give away alot of FREE bikini waxes. Simply visit our website and enter to win a free bikini wax.

So, how to bikini wax? It's easy. Just visit us at a Wax Me Too Salon in Layton, Draper, Salt Lake City, Orem or St. George!

bikini wax is not a permanent form of body hair removal, but a waxing session offers longer term hair removal than shaving.
